Meningitis B (MenB) Vaccination Service in Ealing – Bramley Pharmacy
A Free NHS Vaccine – Protect Yourself Before University This Autumn
Bramley Pharmacy on Northfield Avenue, Ealing is offering the new Meningitis B (MenB) vaccination – a free NHS vaccine for Year 13 students and under-25s heading to university or college this autumn. Meningitis B can develop suddenly and become life-threatening within hours, and students moving into university halls and shared accommodation are at significantly higher risk, with cases known to peak in October and November as the new term begins.
This is a free NHS vaccination, offered as part of a new national NHS programme. From 20 July 2026, Bramley Pharmacy is proud to deliver it on behalf of the NHS – at no cost to eligible young people – conveniently and face-to-face with our experienced clinical pharmacist. Booking early is strongly recommended, as demand across Ealing and the surrounding area is expected to be very high.

Why Book Your MenB Vaccination in Ealing Early?
- Free on the NHS – there is no charge for eligible patients. This is a fully funded NHS vaccination.
- Limited appointments – around 1 million young people are eligible nationally, so local demand will be high. Reserve your slot before the autumn rush.
- Convenient & local – no GP referral needed. Get vaccinated close to home on Northfield Avenue, Ealing, at a time that suits you, including both of your doses.
- Protect before you move – close, prolonged contact in halls and at social events raises the risk of MenB, so being protected before term starts matters.
Who Is Eligible?
This is a one-off NHS programme for autumn 2026. You are eligible if you are:
- In Year 13 – born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 (offered to everyone in this age group, whatever your plans).
- Under 25 and starting undergraduate university for the first time in autumn 2026, including international students.
- Under 25 and moving into further-education halls or accommodation for the first time in autumn 2026.
You are not eligible if you:
- Are under 25, outside the Year 13 age group, and not starting university or moving into FE halls this autumn.
- Have already completed a 2-dose course of Bexsero® within the last 5 years.
- Are 25 or over (outside the specified birth-date ranges).
Proof You Must Bring to Your Appointment
Because this is an NHS-funded service, we are required to confirm your eligibility before vaccinating. Please bring photo ID, plus proof of your university or college place, to every appointment (including your second dose). Without the correct documents we may not be able to vaccinate you.
All patients should bring:
- Photo ID showing your full name and date of birth – for example a passport, driving licence or provisional licence.
If you are eligible because you are starting university or further education, please also bring one of the following:
- An official offer email from your university or college – usually sent from a .ac.uk email address – or from UCAS.
- A letter or email confirming your offer of a place for the 2026/2027 academic year.
- A screenshot of your offer from the UCAS Hub.
Your proof must clearly show the name of the university or college, the course title or code, and confirmation of your offer (conditional or unconditional offers are both accepted). A digital copy on your phone is fine.
Year 13 students who are not going on to university only need to bring photo ID confirming their date of birth.
Please Allow Enough Time for Your Appointment
Before being vaccinated, every patient must complete a full health questionnaire on site. The vaccination itself is quick – the appointment and the act of vaccinating take around 15 minutes – but the time needed to complete the health form varies from person to person.
- Please arrive in good time and allow extra time to fill in the health form before your vaccination slot.
- The form must be completed before we can vaccinate you, so leaving enough time helps keep your appointment – and everyone else’s – running smoothly.
- If you have any long-term conditions, allergies, or take regular medication, having those details to hand will help you complete the form quickly.
Feeling Unwell? Please Postpone
If you feel unwell on the day, please do not come in to the pharmacy. Instead, contact us to postpone and rebook your appointment for when you are feeling better. This protects you, our team, and other patients, and helps make sure you get the most from your vaccination.
