NHS vs. Private Flu Vaccinations: Which is Right for You?

13 / Sep

Choosing between an NHS flu vaccination and a private flu jab can sometimes be confusing. At Bramley Pharmacy in Ealing, we make it easy by offering both services to suit your needs.

NHS flu vaccinations are available free of charge to eligible groups starting from 3rd October 2024. Those who qualify for a free flu jab include:

– People aged 65 and over

– Pregnant women (available from 16th September 2024)

– Children aged 2 to 11

– Individuals with certain chronic medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart                disease)

– Frontline health and social care workers

If you’re eligible, the NHS flu jab is an excellent option, providing protection against the flu at no cost.

For those who aren’t eligible for the NHS program, we offer private flu vaccinations starting from 16th September 2024, priced at £15.99. This service is ideal for those who want to ensure early protection, as the flu virus can begin circulating before NHS vaccinations are available. With our private service, you can schedule your flu jab at a time that suits you, allowing for flexibility and peace of mind.

So, whether you’re eligible for an NHS flu jab or prefer to get vaccinated privately, Bramley Pharmacy is here to help you stay healthy this flu season.
